Complaint: This company! I went over my limit by $2 for it has never been late (I pay online) and they jacked my rate from 8.99% to 20.99%! I called and they told me the most they can do for me is to see if they can lower my rate if I'm eligible. I have A1 credit so this is so disgusting to me. I will switch this one as fast as humanly possible.

Complaint: My husband Pushkar has taken a Bayclay Credit Card due to their [Bayclay] follow up. He had made only one transaction on that card of about Rs.134/-only. We pay the amount by cheque of SBI[Dattawadi Br.Pune]. At that time there was some problem is going on in the SBI Dattawadi Branch so that our cheque has been returned as there has been sufficient balance in our accoun.Bank has informed us about that .....same message we followed to Bayclay credit card & give another cheque of the same amount to them. The matter was finished. But no.....the problem has been started from that time..... Bayclay did not settle the matter & started adding the interest amount from that time like from last year. Now they are demanding Rs750/- for settlement of the amount which has been already paid by us. Now they are very troubling us on mobile & also on land line. We want releaf from them. Complaint: Dear Sir, i have a credit card for barclay for the month of feb 2008 i have purchased fuel for rs 400/- then i have got the bill for 420+20=420/- and last date was 02.03.2008, i have drop the cheque at nehru place skylac drop box on dt 29.02.2008, the cheque has missplace by barclay or y dont have received the same. while i had confirm the payment as on dt 02.03.08 the customer care excutive has adviced to me for repayment and told they reverce the late payment charges. and the repayment has cleared as 17.03.08 due to barclay server provelum. now they are colled every day for payment and they charged around 3700/- till date. that was my first and last transation for the same card. now what i can do for the same where i can complaint for barclay card. kindly give the mail or phone no of directored of credit card division " thanking you Deep A/c officer

Complaint: Frontier Airlines offer this card that is being financed and run by Barclay Bank in Wilmington, DE 19899. I opened this account about 2 years ago at about 16%. I was late on a payment one time about a year ago and they raised my APR to 18%. Recently I made a payment too early. They applied that payment to an earlier month for which I had already sent a payment. I didn't know what they did and later was informed in the statement that I was charged late fee because I didn't make a payment. I called and explained that I made that payment but they said I sent it TOO EARLY! Finally they refunded my late fee but when I got my new statement I noticed that they increased my APR from 18% to 29%! After many arguments hey refuse to budge! MY ADVICE: DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS BANK.

Complaint: I just found out that after I paid off $1700 on my credit card so that I had some leeway for my vacation, Xmas, car repairs and health expenses, that they LOWERED my credit limit. I got NO notification, not by email, not by written letter. But i sure as heck found out when I went to use the card and it was DECLINED. What kind of company LOWERS your credit limit after you pay on it?? They gave me the runaround on the phone claiming no one was available to talk to me about it. Well of course not, cause you just scammed me so that I cannot use the card any longer because you just jipped me out of the other ! $800 i had available on the card. I thought this was such a great deal - I got enough on this card to pay something else off and then I used it, and now I paid some of it off, and they LOWER it so that I am maxxed again, instead of having room to breathe in case of an emergency. OBVIOUSLY this is a fraudulent way of making sure I keep paying and paying on the card. And then if you pay off a card and close the account, it ends up reflecting BADLY on you instead of positively. So great, you're screwed to have the card and screwed if you pay it off.

Complaint: I recently was allowed to go over my credit limit by $4.50. I was accessed a $39 over limit charge. I called and it was waived but the following month, again my account was allowed to go over its limit again. Again I was charged a over limit fee. I have never been late with my account and have always paid more than the minimum payment. The fact that Barclay's system allowed this over limit to occur and then turn around and penalize me for it is criminal. I requested my account to be closed immediately. Legal well maybe so but morally corrupt. I could understand if I was! always late or never made my payments but this is not the case. I have been a good paying customer only to be treated in this manner. I closed my account simply because of the greed and now my APR has been increased from 8.99% to 22.9% and my online access has been suspended all because Barclay's (Juniper) allowed this to happen. What is wrong with this picture people. You tell me. Crooks, the whole lot of them. You would think that in today' economic situation that any company would bend over backwards to keep good paying customers, not tret them like dirt and rip them off.

Complaint: I USUALLY PAY MY BILLS ONCE A MONTH. nOT GOOD ENUF..IT SEEMS THAT THEY CHARGE YOU EVERY 20 DAYS. mY CREDIT CARD EXPIRED AND THEY NEVER SENT A NEW ONE. i CALLED THEM AND AFTER 3 CARDS THAT DIDN'T WORK OR WEREN'T RECEIVED AND 4 MONTHS LATER I STARTED TO USE IT. ONLY TO GET A LETTER THAT THEY DROPPED MY CREDIT BY $600.00. THERE WAS NO SUPERVISOR TO BE FOUND. LOL FOREIGN SOUNDING AGENTS THAT COULD HARDLY BE UNDERSTOOD. WHY?????? THEY ARE LOCATED IN THE MANILLA, PHILIPINES. I DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH FOREIGN COMPANIES WHEN IT HAS TO DO WITH MY CREDIT AND CREDIT INFO. DO YOU!!!!! BOYCOTT ! BARCLAY GO USA!!! Complaint: I switch my only card balance from a Capitol One ($500) to these crooks. The First Payment somehow got posted on the following day and I incurred a $39.00 late fee that they would not reverse. Mind you this was the first payment. I made all the payments on line. This past months payment was due on the second so on the second after getting home from work I paid it on the date it was due BUT it was after 7pm that night. THey gave me another $39.00 late fee and bumped my APR up to 22%. These ppl are crooks in white shirts... No other word for them they are taking advantage of a lot of PPl.. They should be on the TABIBANS hit list as Capitolist Pigs..

Complaint: In late December 2008, I recieved a letter from Barclays/Juniper "thanking me for my recent inquiry" Since I had made no inquiry, I became concerned and called. After holding for 35 minutes, I was informed that my credit limit had been reduced by 1,000. I demanded that this be explained and confirmed in written form and recieved that in a letter in early January but dated 12-23-08. I then noticed while online about a week later that my limit had been lowered yet again by another $250. A letter followed dated 1-2-09 and was recieved confirming that on 1-12-09 The reason given over the phone once ! again, was that, although the card was active and my credit score had actualy improved recently, I had not used the higher limit within the last year. After recieveing no satisfaction over the phone, I cancelled the account. I have now recieved my monthly statement indicating that I had exceeded my limit on 12-22-08. At that point I was not over even the lower limit but my limit had not yet been lowered. I have been charged an over limit fee for a charge the was made when the limit was higher. By the way, A substantial payment had been made made on 12-25-08 online before I became aware of any of this and the balance was indeed never even close to the lower limit before or after it was lowered. Could this be cause for a class action if it's a widespread practice? It appears they have fraudulently set me up for an over limit charge and probably an interest rate increase as well.

Complaint_against: Applied Bank AND JUNIPER/BARCLAYS BANK

Complaint: I recently hit some financial difficulties and when I contacted these credit card companies to ask for special payment programs to get my account current and lower the interest rate, I was placed on a program for a fixed monthly payment and lower interest rate. This payment plan was to be in effect for the term of one year. Only, I was harrassed by the companies because they wanted to automatically draw the money from my account each month. I allowed them to do this for 3 months, and before the final draw came out of my account I received a letter in the mail stating that I had been kicked off of the program for failure to make my agreed upon payments (when they were taking the money out direct!!!). I contacted the company to file disputes and each of these companies spoke to me as if I were insane!! They state that the conversations never took place as I stated. Despite the fact that I have an agents name, all of the specifics of these alleged programs and a confirmation number. Their "investigations" into these pricing plans offered revealed NO information, special pricing or reduced interest rates. Their systems only reflect a scheduled monthly payment which was less than the "required minimum amount due". Now I am back to late fees and overlimit charges with these companies because they state that I was never on a special pricing plan, nor was I eligible for one at the time the offers were made to me, and that I am not eligible for one now. And yet I have letters from these companies to the contrary which very clearly state that I was removed from these special pricing plans becuase I did not make the payment by the agreed upon dates. What can I do?? Is there anyone who oversees these companies and their customer service/collections departments?? They just keep screwing me over and over and over, when all I am trying to do is do right by them and get them paid off as best I can. Incidentally, all of my other compaines have been more than willing to assist me in this difficult time and the special pricing plans that they offered me continue to go off without a hitch!! I am greatly appreciative of that. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE TWO COMPAINES!!! JUNIPER/BARCLAYS BANK AND APPLIED BANK WILL STICK IT TO YOU ANY WAY THEY CAN. THEY PROMISE TO WORK WITH YOU, GIVE YOU A FALSE SENSE OF HOPE AND SECURITY AND THEN ACT LIKE YOUR CRAZY WHEN THEY F--- YOU OVER IN THE END. IF ANYONE OUT THERE KNOWS HOW TO FILE A LEGITIMATE COMPLAINT WITH SOME OVERSITE COMPANY I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW. ALL I CAN SAY IF THAT IF YOU DO BUSINESS WITH THESE TWO COMAPNIES AND YOU HIT FINANCIAL TROUBLE, YOU WILL BE SORRY THAT YOU DID.

Complaint: I got a credit card with Junipar Bank Mastercard. I got emails about transfering my higher interest rate cards to them so I transfered one to them. I have been getting phone calls everyday saying my acount is $1500 over my limit. TWO MONTHS later afyer the balance being transfered. I want to know WHY a credit card company would approve a balance transfer knowing fully that it would put a person over their limit by $1500? Don't they or aren't they supposed to check this and deny it if it is going to put someone over the liit by $1500???? I had no idea that I had to have that much on my cr! edit limit to do this. They said "it is all in your paperwork. It is not our job to manage your account." Now they want me to pay $300 a month for a YEAR to pay off this acountor the fees keep coming. I can't afford this. Is this a way for them to ruin a person and make it so they can't pay their account and rack on the fees of over a $100 a month on top of everything else? This is unfair banking and credit card practices. Something has to be done with credit card companies like this. If I would have known this I would not have done business with them. Is this how they make their money? Ripping people off? Why wuld they approve a $1500 transfer if their was no room to put it on my card? I don't get it. Other than I am being riped off by Junipar Credit Card Company. Any idea's what to do? I am sick of getting different answers from each person I call and talk to. Some are snotty and they record the conversations. This angers me greatly!

I verified the company had begun payments. Yestereday the called 14 times in 8 hours. They say its because their computers have not been updated. I have sent a letter today asked them to cease all telephone calls.

Complaint: I to am being ripped off 2 years ago I got the Juniper credit card and my limit was $15,000 I use it doing home repairs and such in getting and use my $6000,00 ic cash advances with in a matter of days no problem (YET) ok now in Oct of 2008 I made a payment of over $12,000 bringing my balance to $200.00 paying it almost off knowing I would be doing what I had did when I got the card use it to do somethings so chekin my balance every day I would get cash advances of $500.00 daily and I had used it to buy things as well so about 3 weeks after I paid $12,000 I had put about $4600.00 back on the card ALL TRANSACTION WHERE APP! OVED and before the had posted they lower my limit to $4200.00 and charged me over the limits fees when I call and ask how can you appoved my transaction allow me to get cash from ATMs then lower my limit to less that what my transaction where and they told me because to did 3-4 cahs advances it such a short I was a risk how can that be when I got the card it when from $0 to over $10,000 in a matter of 2 weeks so I refuse to pay those over limit fess they keep adding this can be right that they can to just I think we really need to get this out what they are doing ......this is probly one of those banks the goverment bailed out and I think the goverment needs to know what they are doing.

Complaint: Raising interest rate from 18.74% to 24.99% for no reason. Refused to give a reason on phone from rep or rep's supervsor. THERE IS A RECESSION, AND AT THIS TIME THESE SCUMBAG COMPANIES NEED TO HELP CUSTOMERS, AND THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO DO THAT. THIS WILL MAKE THE BANK's and the CUSTOMER's position wrse than before, as some customers will not and others will have to take up the slack. The REASONABLE solution would be LOWERING these interest rates. I files complaints with several agencies, and encourage customers to file a class action suit against these filthy scumbags.

Complaint: I made 2 payments within one period and the second payment was held for 7-10 business days even though my bank processed the payment on the 1st business day. Not knowing this, i went to use my credit card and I got declined thinking I had more available balance than what the available balance really was. I was upset because the bank took advantage of the 7-10 thing even though they had already gotten paid. And when I spoke to a supervisor, she said its the law from the Federal Clearing House.

Complaint: I signed up for a US Airwys mastercard with Barclays Bank on a flight, so that I can get the free miles. They were offering 25,000 miles and 2 tickets for $99. Sounded like a good deal. I needed 5,000 more miles to get a trip to the Virgin Islands. I placed my children's daycare on the bimonthly automatic payment to quickly get the extra miles. I made 2 payments in 1 cycle and they received a check for the total payoff on 7/22. The money came out of my bank on 7/23. By 7/27 it still was not posted and I received a bill from the daycare for $25.00 because the credit card declined the paymen! t. I called them and could only speak with a call center in the Phillipines that obviously was following a script. They stated that even though the money came out of my account that they can hold a check for 7 to 14 days!!!! I have had plenty of credit cards and this is a new one on me. First they told me it was a federal regulation (? Phillipines or US). Then they told me that the bank can hold the check as long as they want. They also told me that it was because I made 2 payments in 1 cycle (so they don't want my money?). I also had problems with them previously posting an electronic payment and they charged me a fee. THIS IS THE WORST CREDIT CARD I HAVE EVER HAD AND IT IS NOT WORTH THE MILES. Next time they start offering this on a flight, I am going to stand up and tell everyone not to join. I have never had one problem with the Southwest card. You would think US Airways would sign up with a better companion card !!!!!

Complaint: My Juniper Bank credit card account was assessed a finance charge that put me two cents over the limit. Juniper Bank charged me $39 for this two cents. I called to work with them, they refused and let me know they could charge me even if I went one cent over the limit. I closed my account, doubled my payment and attempted to get back on track. They raised my interest rate, assessed finance charges that put me two dollars over the limit and charged me another $39. I attempted to once again work with them, they refused. I doubled my payment and scheduled it online on 7/18/2009 for my due date of 7/31/2009. They started cal! ling me on 7/27/2009 to remind me my payment was due on 7/31. This happened three days in a row, each time I pointed out the pending payment and they promised to remove me from their list to call. (My payment wasn't even due yet and they were starting collection attempts?) On 7/31/2009 my balance showed $1291.64. My payment was received by them on my due date in the amount of $80. This, with the finance charges of $22.77 would have brought me to a balance of $1233.41, which is under my limit of $1250. However, on 7/27, they assessed me another overlimit fee, which put me back over the limit before my bill was even due. They didn't post this charge until 8/4/2009 after my statement printed, so not only didn't they wait until after my payment was due to assess this new fee, they also made sure I wouldn't know about it until after the fact. They had promised me after the second over limit fee that I would not be assessed another overlimit fee as long as I brought my acc! ount back under the limit by 7/31, my due date, which I did. This thi rd overlimit fee has put me back over my limit by $23. They are refusing to remove any of the fees. The fees now total $117 for $2.02.

Complaint: I mailed my payment to Juniper like I always do. I allowed time so they could received my payment.I had a 7.99 percentage rate.My transaction should have posted on the 28th. on the month, but it posted on the 29th.I was not charged a late fee but my interest rat shot up to 29.99%. This is outrages. I have always paid this account on time. Who can I call. These credit card companies are like long sharks and they are greedy.

Complaint: When I opened this card I had a fixed 8.99% rate. The rate was increased to 14.99% with out my knowledge. When I called them to talk about it they said they had sent me a letter informing me of the rate increase. I never received such a letter. I am careful with mail opening up each piece everyday and filing the important ones. If they did send me such a letter it was lost in their mail room. I can't believe that they can raise your rate with out your knowledge. It seems that they should verify receipt with a certified letter. I believe that this company is! predatory and would not recommend working with them.

Complaint: I have read the complaints against Barclays and am more furious than ever.  I have had similar experiences with them.  I had one payment that was one day late my interest went up to 24%,  I have tried to negotiate with them since that one late payment was long ago, to no avail. Their call center is in the Phillipines, I asked for a supervisor nope there wasn't one. I emailed and asked for a number to call in the US guess what there is not a number for reps in the US. I just got a letter from them stating my interest in going up to 28%! I got the same canned response for every question I asked, the rate increase was not my fault, its due to the economy and the cost of business blah blah blah. I refused the rate and had to close the account. I have made a complaint with the better business bureau I hope others will do the same, its very easy to do online. Does anyone know of other places where complaints can be filed about this company? What options are out there? I would like to stick it to this company so badly.

Complaint: Juniper Credit Card (Barclays Bank of Deleware) SUCKS!!!! I have a 0 percent credit card with Juniper. I pay all my bills online thru my bank and make sure I pay it a couple of days in advance. I have noticed over the last year that on my statement, it showed my payment was late. I called them each time and they told me they would waive the late charge as I was able to prove to them every time that I really did make the payment before it was due. I recieved a letter yesterday stating they were raising my default rate to 27.24% because of late payments. Again I call them, explain to them what has happened. They ask me to fax them proof this time of when the bill was paid, and i did immediately. I then call them back and they say they are still raising the rate to the default! I have an excellent credit rating so I tell them I will pay off my balance immediately and I closed the account. With the economy the way it is, I wonder if they are doing this just to squeeze the good people that pay their bills on time to make up for! their lost revenue. Juniper Card Services and Barclays Bank--------YOU SUCK!!!

Complaint: If you send more than one payment in a billing cycle, this company will "hold" your payment for up to two weeks. They will show the payment as received on their website, and your balance will be reduced, but when you go to use your card you will be embarrassed when your card is declined. Pleading with the company to lift the hold will fall on deaf ears. So your payment is neither in your bank account nor on your card. If you you use your card to pay bills as I do, you will not be able to pay your bills because all of your money is in limbo land. They will also refuse to refund your payme! nt so that you can use it and re-make the credit card payment at a time that is acceptable to them. This ordeal happened to me right before Christmas and at the end/beginning of the month when many bills are due. I am furious.

Complaint: I have been a good customer of this bank for quite some time now and last month they jumped my interest rate up from 7.99% to 12.99%, which I wasn't happy about. I've always paid on time and more than the minimum, so I couldn't understand why they were doing this. This past month, I was out of town on Thanksgiving weekend (when my payment was due)and had no internet access and was ONE DAY late with my payment. I just received a letter in the mail today stating that because of this they were increasing my interest rate to 27.24%. Needless to say, I called and closed the account immediately and! will NEVER do business with them again. Card shoppers BEWARE !!

Complaint: This was a low limit card with very low 7.99 interest rate. The problem started when I changed bank accounts and to my own fault selected my old account on the online payment service to make a 50 dollar payment on a month when only 5 dollars was due. Three days later I recieved an email stating the payment was reutrned. I saw what I had done and called immediately to resolve the issue. This was 3 days after the payment was due. I talked with one of the many foreigners that they have answering their phone, and after listening through the thick accent I was told there was a 39 dollar return check fee and a ! 39 dollar late payment fee which resulted in a 39 dollar overlimit fee that were assessed. This was almost 120 dollars in fees for a 5 dollar payment that was made 3 days late after my mistake. I argued to no avail and made a payment of 120 dollars being assurred that i would not be assessed anymore fees after this. that was made on 5-21-09The next month I paid the statement ballance on 6-19-09 and was charged another 39 dollar overlimit fee four days later. The statement ballance was 250 with a 5 dollar payment due when this started, after I made the 50 dollar payment I charged 16.86 thinking i was in the clear. I paid 120 dollars being told that would avoid any other fees and my next statement was for 268.91 which I paid in full and still ended up oweing these crooks 39 bucks after all was said and done. As if that wasnt enough they took my 7.99 percent interest rate up to 22.24 percent on my may statement and then june it went to 29.99. This was all for a 5 dollar payment that was made 3 days late due to a wrong account selection on my part. I kept the card open simply to keep my credit score up and had no problems till my payment fell due 1-17-09 on a sunday. I made the payment the next business day monday the 18th and was charged another late payment fee of 39 bucks. when calling these other 3rd world countries for customer support its like their all strapped to electric chairs and any sign of compassion would result in high voltage electric shock treatment. I have been told there is no U.S. number to call and if I wanna speak to someonme from my country I would just have to keep calling the same number until i reached an american call center. I have never talked to an american yet.I have also been told on several occasions when calling about these two occasions that the call centers do not have the authority nor the means to remove any charges even if they were fraudulent ones. I have cancelled my card and should have it paid off next month,if they dont find a loop hold to keep me sucked into more payments. However I would be very interested in any kind of class action suit or even help someone else in their prossecution of these crooks. I was lucky this was such a small card, but I know there are others out there that have much higher limits and ballances that could be in real trouble and surely there is someone that can help protact us as consumers. This america right?

Complaint_against: Juniper Bank

Complaint: Juniper claims my payment posted beyond the 1/13 due date. It posted on 1/15. The next due date for February is 2/15. It moves again in March to 3/17. They use a 25 day period which causes the due date to fluctuate. This one alleged 2 day late payment resulted in my interest rate to jump from 8.77% to 30.25% I find it appalling that they can get away with this. After contacting them, they said they could lower it to 29.25%. I have an otherwise perfect standing with Juniper. This appears to be Juniper Bank looking for an excuse to raise my interest rate substantially prior to the new banking rules going into effect in February.

Complaint_against: Barclay's aka Juniper

Complaint: A year ago, I accepted a credit card offer with a placed called "Juniper." It'd be 0% interest for the first year and 8.99% fixed thereafter. A couple of months into using the card, I noticed "Barclay's" was withdrawing funds from my checking account. After going to the bank, I learned Juniper was actually Barclay's. After dealing with Barclay's in the early 1990's for my home mortgage, I never wanted to deal with them again ... yet here I was. In Dec. 2009, I received a notice of changes to the terms of my credit card and that I'd be paying 14.99% APR beginning in Feb. 2010. After seeing a show on Dr.! Phil about new laws and credit card companies going into effect 02/22/2010 and his advice on what to do if dissatisfied with the new terms, I called Barclay's. I came to find out they were going to charge me 28.99%!!! REALLY?!!! My credit is immaculate. I was told if I closed the account, I'd get the fixed rate of 8.99%, but if I left it open I'd pay the 28.99%. I said "That's robbery" and the lady said, "No it's not. It's a good rate!" I closed the account and I'll do everything in my power to make it known how crooked Barclay's aka Juniper really is.

Complaint_against: us airways master card/ barclays

Complaint: I was charged a $39.95 late fee for a late payment on a balance of $32.00. This payment was 2 days late, and was the first and only late payment made in 2 years. Do not deal with this company unless you have no choice.

Complaint: -Keeps your check for several days, then charges late fees and interest.
