Complaint_against: unionplus card
Complaint: last month, my payment was due on january 16. on the 13th i
logged on to arrange for payment. the following month i see a $35.00 late
fee. i e-mail a complaint and am told that since the 16th was a holiday,
they need to have received my payment 4 days before the due date to avoid it
being late (of course, you have to question their integrity just for listing
holidays as due dates in the first place). |

Complaint_against: Union Plus
Complaint: Union Plus Credit Card companies are terrible liars and crooks.
I asked for a payoff which was $5100. Imade the pay off, then the next
month they sent me a $153.00 finance charge. I called and talked to the
manager. He said there is nothing he could do I need to pay it, but he
could not explain why. Whatever you do, do not mess with Union Plus Credit
Cards they are the worst after paying this, I guess I will wait for my bill
next month. |

Complaint_against: HSBC Bank (UnionPlus)
Complaint: HSBC has very clever schemes.. They would try to make the due
dates fall on weekends and holidays. Make matter worse they wont take any
payments on weekends or holidays regardless if online or regular mail..
Even the due date is 4 days away, They will not let me make a payment even
I have 4 days before the due date unless I pay the additional fee which is
$15. |

Complaint: I received notice in today's mail that the
existing low FIXED RATE on my Union Plus Credit card - is being
changed to a variable extremely high VARIABLE RATE. I have never
been late with a payment; and have not reached the credit limit.
Further, I have only had the card for a few months - which makes me
believe that this switch and bait tactic was planned all along! DONT'
GET A CARD WITH UNION PLUS....Its a rip-off! |

Complaint_against: Union Plus Credit Card Company
Complaint: Like another complainant on this page I
received notice from Union Plus that they were going to raise my
rate to 23.99%. I had not paid late and had recently received a low
promotional rate of 3.99% for any charges made in October 2008. I
sent the customary letter letting the company know I wanted to close
my account and would pay off my balance at the promotional rate
(luckily for me I kept it low). Today I logged on to make an online
payment - low and behold like others because of the holiday and
weekends there is no way I can pay my card without it being on! e
day late. Not wanting that on my credit report of course - I opted
to make a rush payment, which carries a fee of $10 that they want to
charge to my account - no offer to allow me to charge it to my
payment account. You know what this means - they not only will
charge me the $10, they will now charge me $35 for being overdraft
since I closed my account, which in return will raise my promotional
rate to the 23.99% balance. I take this as their way of showing me
who's boss - either I accept their terms or they will find a way to
force them on me. Please stay away from this creditor!! |

Union Plus is criminal card dealer giving out personal information
to third partys and adding bonus checks to my account without my
authorization which I never redered. The third part is Trilegiant
membership for services and their ten dollar check which I never
recieved or signed. I am In processed taken legal action. Stop all
Union Plus Credit Cards nationwide. |

Complaint_against: Union Plus Credit Card
Complaint: This used to be one of the best cards with great rates. I
had some great deals from them - low interest rates until paid in
full. They tried to change that a couple months ago. I called them
and told them they had agreed on the low rate till paid off - all my
payments are on time, my credit is great, and I pay more than the
minimum. This month I got a letter that they were reducing my credit
limit by over $10,000. The reasons they gave were bogus. I een
checked my credit report. I told them if they could not give me back
my limit to close the account--and they closed it. I just don't get
it - are t! hey so strapped for money they mess over their good
customers??? Is that anyway to keep customers?? This card went from
the only credit card I trusted, to a company I would never recommend
to anyone. After reading the other complaints, something happened in
the last year or two. This credit card and their service has gone
down the toilet. |
