Complaint_against: US BANK VISA

Complaint: These people are unbelievable!!  I had been a goodstanding cardmember for years, had a few late payments, they started lowering my limit, no problem, didn't want to have the card anymore anyway, then raised my interest rate from 14 to 23 percent, said they couldn't do anyhting for 6 months!!  Talk about loyalty to your cardholders.  Never get this card unless you plan on never getting into trouble at ALL!!

Complaint_against: USBank

Complaint:
I wanted people to know that USBank does not care about YOU.  I opened an account with them at 0% interest rate for a year.  I think purchase and balance transfers were both at 0%.  When the first statement arrived I had been charged two finance charges for each balance transfer that I wanted at 0%.  Yes, it was written and NO, I did not see and understand that.  I thought I could call and explain and to keep my business they would at least try and take off one of the charges.  They did not try.  They did not want to keep me.  I have fabulous credit and I would have paid off the $4000.00 I had on their card in less than one year but that is not the point.  I was upset because they DID NOT TRY to fix this in any way!
Please save yourself some grief and do not use USBank.  That was an $80.00 finance charge!
So, I asked to close the account and there is actually a charge for closing the account also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
STEER CLEAR of these People.  They won't last long if I can help it.
I have posted it to every email I send out.  Yank USBank

Complaint_against: US Bank NA - Credit Cards - Visa

Complaint: I just sent the following email to US Bank, NA, headquartered in Minneapolis. I'm sure they will ignore it, but maybe you won't: I don't know what the so-called "finance charge" of $2.50 is on my current bill. I don't care, either, because I have cancelled this account. But I do want you to know that the levying of inappropriate and greedy charges such as this $2.50 is the reason I have cancelled this account. It is not worth my time to have this charge removed, even though I know you will pull such shenanigans on all of your account holders and cumulatively milk an unfair millions of dollars out of your so-called customers -- whom you treat like dirt. Such actions on your part are one of the reasons we have our current credit crisis and banks such as yours need taxpayers like me to stay in business. I, for one, have told my members of congress to deny all of these bailouts -- and the reason I do so is because of the petty and unjust charges you make, such as the $2.50 on my account. It gives me great pleasure to say this is my last communication with you -- good-bye!

Complaint: Approximately 8 months ago I got my credit card interest rate down to 6.99%. Two months ago they raised by credit limit by 2800, which I had not requested and did not want. My card, for the past two years, has been paid on time (early) and paid at least 100 over minimum. This month it decreased to 5.90% Last month I received my first SSA check. This month, USB informed me they were raising my interest rate to 16.99, but, as yet, have failed to inform me as to why. Said they would mail me the reason. My debt to limit ratio is 1:5. Is it actually good policy to screw your paying customers? Could this be related to my beginning to receive SSA? i.e. age discrimination?

Complaint: I have an REI Visa card issued through US Bank. I ALWAYS pay my bill on time, yet they love to tack on late fees, claiming they recieved the payment after the due date. I've called MANY times to complain, and suddenly they're claiming I'm late with nearly every bill! I haven't used the card in months, and just got a bill for a LATE FEE ONLY!

Complaint: Do not do a balance transfer on-line, they will give you a higher interest rate! I get an REI US Bank credit card, which sends me my card and documents and in bold letters says that transfer balance for 13.99%. I go on-line to save myself the trouble of calling... Bad idea! I look at my statement two months later, and they considered it a cash advance: 19.99%!! I call them and they said it was written in the discloure that if I did this on-line they would charge the higher interest rate. What a bunch of crooks!! They ask you to do stuff on-line and then you get screwed over for doing so. I am pissed!!!!!!
