Complaint: I have recently recvd a bill from JC penny credit of $104.41. The last time, I have used a credit card was in 2004 and balance was paid off immediately afterwards. The bill of $104.41 includes 3 months of late fees, a purchase that made in february (false),and finance charge. I have never made a purchase with this credit since 2004 and never recvd a bill before the one for $104.41. The information that I gave them to verify the account does not match what they have. Hum!! It is definitely rip off!

Complaint: On Nov 15 2008 - I was laid off from my job. - On Dec 5 2008 - I called a special number setup with my JC Penney Master Card for hardship assistance. - I had a balance due of $6379.56 - $1053.65 was setup on a special promotion to be at 6.99% for the life of that balance. On Dec 5th i spoke to Pam and we set up a payment program for me to pay $115 a month until Sept of 2009 - she said my promo rates would be protected. - I set up an electronic payment for dec 15th for $115 (down from $164) - then when I got my next statement end of Jan - the hardship program hadnt hit their books on time and I was suddenly past due $49 on my account I immeditiatly made a payment for $165 to get the past due off my account - now my Feb statement they changed my rate to 17.74% - this is unfair - that rate should be protected - I did ALL the things I was supposed to do according to the program - they change rates anytime they like and it is wrong. when I spoke to Marcia & Rita on 2/2/09 they said there was nothing they can do to chnge my rate back - this is WRONG !!!!
